Senior Backend Engineer

Join our team as a Senior Software Engineer to develop and run the core components of our AI messaging router backbone. This critical infrastructure supports handling millions of messages using complex message routing, intent detection, and maintaining stateful interactions with GenAI and other microservices in our infrastructure.

Build and maintain key modules such as timing mechanisms, intent detection, memory and routing as part of our distributed go service.

Manage the full lifecycle of these services, from testing for robustness to deploying in a high-load, production environment.

Ensure maintainability, scalability and reliability of the service.

Work closely with cross-functional teams including founders to integrate AI capabilities, such as LLMs and other microservices.

Proven experience in developing and operating large-scale backend systems.

Go in a production environment (minimum 4 years).

Strong familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.

Experience with designing and maintaining large-scale messaging and/or event-driven architectures.

Understanding of Generative AI principles, inference techniques, and prompt management (preferred, but not required).

Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and effectively.

High level of agency and self motivation, and a proven track record of developing complex systems quickly and independently.
