Senior Data Scientist

You will be part of Extend's Risk Analytics team with ownership of claims analytics and monitoring. You will play a pivotal role in helping to scale the organization.

Lead analytics for claims operations and post-purchase product features. Guide Extend toward robust and actionable tools for monitoring and optimizing claim and servicing products and policies.
Collaborate closely with business partners within Analytics, Operations, Product and Engineering to help optimize claim intake, adjudication and fulfillment product features for excellent customer experience and lower loss cost.
Work directly with senior leadership to support management of our claims operations through analysis, data insights, creation of data pipelines, and dashboarding.
Support risk analytics through modeling and forecasting of our claims operations and insurance profitability.

A curious, entrepreneurial data scientist with plenty of grit, analytical prowess, creative thinking, and initiative
Ability to communicate/present across the organization, especially to teams with less data & analytics experience
4+ years of work experience as a data analyst
2+ years of experience risk, operations or claims analytics
Expertise with SQL and Python/R
Previous experience working with operations or product teams is a plus
Bachelor's degree from Maths, Statistics, or a relevant major
