Lead Software Development Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Lead to join our quality assurance team at Coinbase. You will have the unique opportunity to build the quality assurance team from the ground up. This role is pivotal in establishing a robust testing framework and culture within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of SDETs, driving test automation strategies, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.

Leadership and Team Management
Lead and mentor a team of SDETs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align testing efforts with overall project goals
Conduct performance evaluations and provide career development guidance to team members
Test Strategy and Architecture
Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and frameworks
Design scalable and maintainable test automation architectures
Evaluate and introduce new testing tools and methodologies to improve efficiency
