Backend Engineer

We’re looking for a backend developer who will help us design a new FinTech system from the ground up with best-in-class tools. We seek leaders to build all parts of the system, from frontend to microservices and deployments in pods on Kubernetes. Help build an effective, inclusive engineering organization
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Work with product and design to inform trade-offs and scalability concerns
Participate in the backend ONCALL and incident review processes

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or relevant technical experience
5+ years of backend agile software development experience (including SAAS experience)
Experience designing and building APIs
Experience designing and building Microservices
Ability to write clean, reliable code that can be easily maintained and be tested automatically
Startup experience or experience working in small teams
FinTech experience is a strong plus
